For the safety of your children, the following rules regarding vehicles on school property will be strictly enforced. If there are any violations or instances of drivers being disrespectful to the crossing guards, troopers will immediately be contacted!

1. A strict 3 MPH speed limit is enforced. 
2. No cell phones in your hand while in your vehicle.
3. Pedestrians will ALWAYS have the right of way.
4. It is strictly prohibited for parents in vehicles to park and walk to the bus lane! If you have business with your child's bus, you must go to the office. The bus loop area is strictly off limits to all non-employees. 
5. If you have business inside the school at any time during the day, do not park in the drop off/pick up loop (fire lane). Use one of the two parking lots. 
6. If you use one of the two parking lots to pick up or drop off kids, you must:
   1. Park and walk your child to the crosswalk closest to the school before letting them go, or you may walk them into the school lobby. If you want to simply stop and let them out, you MUST use the drop off lane. 
   2. Make sure the student is safely crossing the crosswalk before returning to your vehicle.
   3. When pulling out of your parking space, please be extremely careful! There will be many kids and parents walking and other vehicles pulling out.
7. When using the drop off lane, you must:
   1. NOT DROP OFF KIDS BEFORE 8:15! Doors will be locked. 
   2. Keep as far to the right as possible so cars can pass on your left.
   3. Only drop your child off when you get to a cone.
   4. Pull up to the furthest available cone, not the first one you come to. Make sure your vehicle's front bumper is even with the cone. 
   5. Have them ready to go when you get to the cone. Please say your good-bye's before you get there.
   6. Have your child exit the car ONLY on the right side. 
   7. Stay in the driver's seat. Do not exit the vehicle to help your child in or out of the vehicle. If they need help, you must use the parking lot. 
   8. You may pass cars on the left ONLY when the crossing guard motions you around. 
   9. As you pull out, be aware that vehicles may be on your left in your blind spot. Stay to the right until you turn onto the exit road. 
   10. During pick up, please be aware that students come out at different times, so there may be a bit of a wait if the cars in the front belong to the last students to exit the building. When your child arrives, please get moving as quickly as possible to avoid having cars backed up all the way to Nistler. It would also help to try to arrive after 3:10. 
8. On the exit route that enters Nistler, the left lane must turn left and the right lane must turn right. Be aware that vehicles may be in your blind spot so be careful and go slow!
